First Friday is Gallery Night In Coral Gables

On the First Friday of each month, Virginia Miller organizes a delightful Gallery Night with complimentary transportation and refreshments. Thousands of pedestrians fill the streets of Coral Gables and the galleries are open late to accommodate enthusiasts..

Food, Fun, Fine Art

The concentration of fine art galleries in Coral Gables is notable, as is the tradition of strolling among them on Friday evenings. The city trolley runs late on Friday offering enthusiasts the opportunity to enjoy free and easy access to dozens of galleries, as well as the unique shops and restaurants in the pedestrian district.

Mark your calendar to be in Coral Gables on the First Friday, or any Friday evening, to meet friends for a stroll along Ponce de Leon Boulevard to enjoy the ambience and the art, then choose from more than a hundred great eateries and gourmet shops within easy walking distance.

Gallery Hot Spots

The original fine art queen of Coral Gables, Virginia Miller and her legendary Artspace Galleries are located on Madeira just east of Ponce.

The area near Fred Hartnett Ponce Circle Park along Ponce de Leon Boulevard is a mecca for art enthusiasts. Exit the trolley at Ponce Circle Park or Catalonia.

The area south of Ponce Circle Park and north of Bird Road is known as the Craft Section, where a number of outstanding galleries draw large crowds of pedestrians on Friday evenings. Exit the trolley at Romano or Camilo.

The Village of Merrick Park, on Ponce just south of Bird Road, features a number of galleries and fine art boutiques. Exit the trolley at San Lorenzo.
